Al Capone
During the 1920's there were many problems with alcohol. Al Capone was most famous in the 1920s because of the alcohol bans. (Chicago Historical Society) During the years of 1925 and 1930 Al Capone had a 100,000,000 dollar business going for him. The way he got his money was because of Speakeasies, and nightclubs. He sold alcohol even though it was illegal. Many think he was behind the St. Valentines Day Massacre. In 1927 Sullivan caught him for income tax evasion. He spent 10 years in a federal prison, and he owed about 60,000 dollars.(Chicago Historical Society)
